The Workforce Ready Grant, led by Virginia Commonwealth University and funded by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education Programs, is a collaborative effort to strengthen information about disability in early childhood across Virginia’s community colleges.

Our Mission

Our team is dedicated to strengthening early childhood education by equipping community college faculty and students with knowledge and skills to support young children with disabilities. Through professional development and technical assistance, Virginia’s community colleges and four-year institutions collaborate to enhance coursework, better preparing future educators for the needs of children and families.
